Core Subjects
Mathematics
Our middle school math curriculum is designed to cover key content strands, including Number and Number Sense, Computation and Estimation, Measurement and Geometry, Probability and Statistics, and Patterns, Functions, and Algebra. We emphasize problem-solving skills and real-world applications to ensure a deep understanding of mathematical principles. This comprehensive approach prepares students for high school math courses and helps them develop critical thinking and analytical skills essential for their academic and personal success.
Science
Our middle school science curriculum provides a comprehensive understanding of physical science, life science, earth and space sciences, and technology. Students explore principles of matter and energy, the study of living organisms, Earth's systems and the universe, and the impact of technology on society. With a strong focus on the environment and the world around them, students engage in hands-on experiments and real-world applications to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry, preparing them to navigate and contribute to an increasingly complex and technological world.
English Language Arts
We focus on developing strong reading, writing, and communication skills. Students engage with a diverse range of literature, learn to craft various types of writing, and practice critical analysis and interpretation of texts.
Social Studies
Our social studies program covers history, geography, economics, and civics. Students gain a comprehensive understanding of global cultures, historical events, and current affairs, fostering informed and responsible citizenship.
Integrated Curriculum
At TCC, the curriculum is taught in integrated thematic units, with concepts being reinforced across subject areas. This approach ensures that students see the interconnectedness of knowledge, making learning more meaningful and memorable
